Dental implants in Brno

A fixed replacement that looks and works like your own tooth

Dental implants are one of the most advanced ways of replacing missing teeth. The implant acts as an artificial root, to which we attach a crown, a bridge or a denture — and the result looks and works like your own teeth.

What a dental implant is

Clinically proven Astra Tech implants with a short healing time

At our clinic we place Astra Tech implants — a Swedish brand from Dentsply Sirona Implants with more than 30 years on the market. They meet our demanding quality requirements, are clinically proven and are distinguished by a short healing time. Our dentists regularly attend international congresses and individual placements with the world's leading specialists, and are members of Czech and international oral surgery societies.

When are dental implants the right choice?

  • You are missing one or more teeth

  • A tooth and its root are damaged beyond what conventional treatment can save

  • You do not want healthy neighbouring teeth ground down for a bridge

  • A removable denture does not suit you or does not stay in place

  • You want a fixed replacement you can eat and live with comfortably

  • Bone needs building up before an implant is placed (augmentation)

  • Treatment requires precise 3D diagnosis using a CBCT scan

Treatment process

How a dental implant is placed

  1. 1) Initial examination

We check the condition of your teeth thoroughly, along with the quantity and quality of tissue at the implant site, and take a CBCT scan where needed.

  2. 2) Treatment plan and price estimate

At the end of the initial examination we set out a detailed treatment plan and prepare an individual schedule and price estimate.

  3. 3) Placing the implant in the bone (surgical stage)

The procedure is carried out on an outpatient basis under local anaesthetic. A titanium implant is placed into the jawbone where the tooth is missing and the wound is sutured. The implant takes roughly 6–8 weeks to integrate with the bone.

  4. 4) Shaping the soft tissue for the future restoration

To shape the gum around the implant correctly, we fit a healing abutment under local anaesthetic.

  5. 5) Taking the impression (prosthetic stage)

Once the implant has fully healed we take an impression, from which the dental technician makes the restoration. This takes roughly 1–2 weeks.

  6. 6) Fitting the restoration

We attach the crown, bridge or denture to the implant and finish by adjusting the bite and the appearance, so the restoration is comfortable and indistinguishable from your own teeth.

Velmi milý a ochotný kolektiv. Chodíme moc rádi. 🤩🫠

Answers to the questions patients ask before their visit

The procedure is carried out on an outpatient basis under local anaesthetic, so you feel no pain during it. Once the anaesthetic wears off the area may be tender for a few days.
The implant takes roughly 6–8 weeks to integrate with the bone, and the restoration a further 1–2 weeks. We set the exact schedule in the treatment plan after the initial examination.

The deciding factors are the condition of the bone and your general health. If there is not enough bone at the implant site, it can be built up by augmentation. We assess suitability at the initial examination.
Exactly as carefully as your own teeth — thorough oral hygiene, regular check-ups and dental hygiene appointments. Proper care is essential to how long the implant lasts.
Building up bone tissue where there is not enough of it — most often in preparation for placing a dental implant.
It is a detailed 3D X-ray that shows the bone, the teeth and the surrounding structures precisely. It allows the procedure to be planned safely.
