Clean teeth and healthy gums, no compromises
What dental hygiene is

Gentle cleaning with the top-of-the-range EMS AIRFLOW® Prophylaxis Master

Our surgery uses the best and highest-quality device on the market — the Swiss EMS AIRFLOW® Prophylaxis Master, which cleans teeth gently with a jet of air, lukewarm water and a special cleaning powder. It helps remove harmful biofilm even from below the gum line. Treatment always includes coaching in the correct brushing technique and an individual choice of tools for home care, such as the right size of interdental brush.

When is dental hygiene the right choice?

  • You want to keep your teeth clean and healthy on an ongoing basis

  • You want to prevent decay, gum inflammation and periodontitis

  • You build up calculus or plaque

  • Your gums bleed when you brush

  • You have staining from coffee, tea, wine or smoking

  • You are preparing for teeth whitening or other treatment

Treatment process

How a dental hygiene appointment works

  1. 1) Examining the gums and teeth

The dental hygienist assesses the condition of your gums, teeth and soft tissue, and explains clearly what your teeth need.

  2. 2) Removing calculus

The ultrasonic tip helps remove calculus exceptionally gently, including just below the gum. For deeper periodontal pockets we also use hand instruments.

  3. 3) Removing plaque and staining

A precisely directed jet of fine powder removes harmful biofilm and staining from the whole mouth.

  4. 4) Brushing technique and choosing your tools

We teach you the correct brushing technique and choose suitable tools for home care individually, such as the right size of interdental brush.

  5. 5) Recommendations for ongoing care

We agree how often you should come — ideally at least twice a year — so your teeth and gums stay healthy long term.

Velmi milý a ochotný kolektiv. Chodíme moc rádi. 🤩🫠

Dental hygiene

Answers to the questions patients ask before their visit

Dental hygiene is a gentle treatment and most patients tolerate it without any trouble. We combine an ultrasonic tip, the AIRFLOW® method and, where needed, hand instruments. If your teeth or gums are sensitive, tell us beforehand and we will adapt the approach.
At least twice a year. If you have gum inflammation or build up calculus quickly, the hygienist may recommend coming more often.
30 or 60 minutes depending on how much is needed; the first visit is always 60 minutes. The AIRFLOW® cleaning itself takes an average of 10 minutes.
Yes. The AIRFLOW® method removes external staining from coffee, tea, wine and smoking — afterwards the teeth are smooth, glossy and visibly whiter.
Yes, it is essential preparation. Only clean, healthy teeth free of plaque, calculus and gum inflammation should be whitened — otherwise the result cannot be even.
